Former TSL MD David Phillips joins Gearhouse Broadcast

Broadcast industry expert to oversee business development for Systems Integration division

Watford, UK, 3 September2015 Broadcast services specialist Gearhouse Broadcast has appointed David Phillips as business development director for its Systems Integration division. Phillips, who spent ten years as managing director of TSL, will focus on expanding Gearhouse's already impressive list of SI customers around the world. He will work closely with Eamonn Dowdall, business development director of Gearhouse's parent company, Gravity Media Group.

Having started out as an engineer at Granada TV in the early 1980s, David has worked in senior management and sales positions for key broadcast industry players. These include Panasonic, Philips BTS and Thomson Grass Valley, before joining TSL as MD. After leaving TSL in 2014, he has established his own business, MultiCast Consultancy, which continues to provide wide ranging consultancy services to the Broadcast, IT and Telecoms industries via his experienced partners.

David is extremely well known and respected throughout the industry. As well as an enviable contact book, he brings with him a proven track record of growing businesses within the systems integration sector, said Eamonn Dowdall, business development director at Gravity Media Group. We serve customers around the world, so David's experience of running offices in the Middle East and Asia will be invaluable as we look to build on our successes within the SI market.

Gearhouse Broadcast will be exhibiting at IBC2015, which runs from 11 - 15 September 2015 at the RAI Amsterdam. Gearhouse will run its remote production demo on stand 10.B39 throughout the show.
