IBC announced today that Dominique Delport, Global Managing Director of Havas Media Group and Chairman of Vivendi Content, will deliver a Keynote on Thursday 8 September at its forthcoming IBC2016 Conference.
As Global Managing Director of Havas, Dominique oversees all brands, clients and commercial activities as well as all research and intelligence for the advertising and marketing group's 126 markets. Since his appointment in 2012, he has set up a number of initiatives that help the agency and its clients respond to the rapid developments in technology, data, content and media.
In addition to his role at Havas, Dominique is also the President of Vivendi Content the unit of the multi-billion French multinational media company that is tasked with discovering talents as well as conceiving and investing in new forms of video and music content for the different brands of the Vivendi group (Canal+, Universal Music Group, Dailymotion, Gameloft). Dominique has spearheaded the move into premium mobile content creation as part of Vivendi's stakes in Telecom iIalia and Telefonica. A former TV journalist and Web entrepreneur, Dominique is also a member of the Facebook Client Council.
Dominique will give his view of how the media landscape has changed and what this means for traditional media companies, including his outspoken views on the power of the big digital platforms collectively known as GAFA Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon and how important it is for Europeans to continue to develop local content that speaks to their cultures.
Entitled Transformation in the Digital Era: Leadership, strategy and creativity in media and entertainment , the conference will see more than 300 executives sharing insights on key issues at the heart of the entertainment, media and technology sector.

Dominique Delport is also Chairman of Havas Media Group UK on top of his current global role at Havas. Dominique's views on content, data and Organic Marketing have been featured on CNN, CNBC, and Bloomberg as well as in The Huffington Post, The Guardian and industry publications around the world.
He also taught at the Political Science Institute at Sciences Po Paris, where he was in charge of the M dias 2.0 course program (2007-2011). He was elected for a two-year term as President of UDECAM, which brings together all French Media agencies (2010-2012).
He has been voted as one of the most influential media agency executives on social networks, and in 2013 he was listed in Campaign's Top 10 UK Media Suits at Number 3.
