Hitachi Europe Appoints Andrew Barr as President

London, 1st February 2023 - Hitachi Europe, Ltd. today announced the appointment of Andrew Barr as President of Hitachi Europe, Ltd. The new appointment will take effect from 1st April 2023.

Andrew, currently Group CEO of Hitachi Rail, Ltd., has dedicated almost 20 years of his career at Hitachi, spearheading the growth of the Rail business in Europe and globally. With his in-depth knowledge of Hitachi and his mobility sector experience, Andy will lead Hitachi Europe's business in this newly created role at a broader level, as it continues to grow and seek further business opportunities across the region.

Andrew will remain as Executive Officer and Vice President of Hitachi, Ltd., working globally to help Hitachi achieve synergies across the business and become a major player in Social Innovation and Environment.
