Transvideo presents new high technology monitoring solutions to streamline cinematography and broadcast workflow at IBC 2016Paris, France 18th August 2016:
At IBC 2016 Transvideo will present its new range of high technology monitoring solutions, designed to speed up workflow in cinematography and broadcast, streamlining the ways that creatives can collectively share what they need to see, with convenient easy to use built-in tools and with Transvideo's proven reliability.
Transvideo carries forward a strong reputation for excellence and dependability. Already many working in those industries use Transvideo products daily and hold them in very high regard. Transvideo continues to innovate with new technologies and adopts new manufacturing techniques, passed on as benefits to its users.
NEW: Transvideo completes its new state of the art wireless transmission system:
StarliteRF is a 5 lightweight 3G-SDI touch screen OLED wireless monitor-recorder with built-in wireless receiver, supplied with the small but powerful transmitter TitanHD2 Tx. It's a state of the art, unique system giving a reliable connection in seconds, and already being adopted by the motion picture and broadcast industries as well as rental companies. The wireless video connectivity is low loss and without any transmission delay. A specific function allows StarliteRF to be paired with two different transmitters and to toggle between them during operation to receive video signals from 2 TitanHD2 Tx in A/B camera configuration.
Totally free of cables, it's the perfect choice for directors, DOPs, focus pullers, camera assistants, gimbal users, aerial cinematographers, drone pilots, rental companies and more. For example, to enable directors to follow what's being shot on set, to work with the actors, and to avoid having to look over the shoulder of the DOP. Hand held, or mounted on an ARRI WCU-4 or a Preston hand-unit, this is also the ideal solution for focus-pullers.
The Titan HD2 wireless system has been tested and proven in working television studio environments to be interference free.
TitanHD2 Rx is a new stand-alone receiver now available to complete the flexibility of this wireless video transmission system. With a range of 200m/600ft, multiple TitanHD2 Rx can be paired, providing a scalable solution for many applications in cinematography and broadcast, and also for rental companies.
The TitanHD2 and StarliteRf have successfully passed the certification for several countries including Europe, USA, Canada, Korea and Japan. They can be operated legally in these countries and offer safety for the operator.
NEW: Stargate is a landmark 7 new generation high end monitor-recorder offering new technology and functions in a compact and rugged, camera-mountable package. Stargate is full HD, 4K/6G compatible, and is an essential production tool for directors, DOPs, focus-pullers, technical directors, engineers... Stargate provides all the necessary functions in an intuitive interface with customary Transvideo accuracy and reliability.
Stargate offers fast path processing with immediate display capabilities, increasingly important in many shooting situations. It has the ability to record dailies (H264 -> MP4/MKV) on to SD cards. It features 3D LUTs - the Stargate is evolutive, ready for HDR, 6G and 12G SDI.
Many built in tools including:
Job-oriented patented Views : pre-programmed modes feature a specific set assignment for each job - no need to navigate in deep menus to find the right tools.
Focus Helper function: displays in-focus zone with coloured dots, making manual focusing easier.
Advanced peaking function: emphasizes the contours of the picture, making manual focusing precise with high-resolution cameras and fast lenses.
Markers: can be adjusted by using the joystick to increase or decrease the size, useful if you have a graphics box to work with or you need a reference to frame up on.
Zoom function: allows zoom, Anamorphic zoom, Custom zoom.
Tally: is activated through the REC/STOP command embedded in the SDI.
Bright 1000 Nits display, reclocked output from the monitor input.
Also on show:
StarliteARRI: Transvideo collaborated with ARRI to adapt the Transvideo StarliteHD monitor to control the ARRI ALEXA Mini and the ARRI AMIRA cameras. Constructed from aviation-grade aluminum, the rugged StarliteHD5-ARRI monitor is the size of a smartphone and weighs less than 200 g. It has a touch-screen interface that will allow it to control key ARRI camera functions.
StarliteHD: With cameras reducing in size and portable systems becoming more and more compact, this monitor-recorder, about the size of a smartphone and weighting only 190 Grams s a rugged, professional high-end 3G-SDI field monitor, and the founding member of Transvideo's 5 range of monitor-recorders. It will record H.264 dailies, take snapshots and will generate a .pdf with metadata from ARRI and SONY cameras at each take.
CineMonitorHD: High end monitors of excellence, the 12 and 15 are often used as reference monitors on set whilst the high brightness smaller 5 and 8 are the monitors of choice for many Steadicam owner operators. There's a huge array of inbuilt user tools, some unique, too many to list, so please come and ask for a demo at the show.
ACS France, who specialise in gyro-stabilised aerial cinematography reported that Transvideo's CineMonitorHD fulfils their needs: -high brightness to counter the varying light conditions in a helicopter, and tools like the waveform, essential to the operator to judge exposure and levels. Coupled with the StarliteHD that we use to feed a picture to the pilot, they make a great kit for every situation.
President Jacques Delacoux, Sales Director Karine Fouque and their teams will be there to welcome you to the stand and to provide demos.
