AKA Design launches range of dedicated podcast and voiceover furniture

AKA Design has launched a new range of dedicated podcast, blogging and voiceover desks, with the first two installations at B/R Football in Covent Garden and Glasgow-based creative agency, Fore Digital. The ProCast and ProVoice ranges, available in several configurations, have been introduced due to an increasing demand for professional studio facilities for podcasting.

Podcasts, voiceovers and audio interviews are now being filmed and live-streamed too, so they need to look professional. AKA Design's new ProCast desk is a 4-way conversation desk for podcasts, with positions for a radio presenter and three guests. It offers flexible working ergonomics, with sit-stand electronic height adjustment to suit the particular session or interview format of the show. Recessed central acoustic pads enhance voice acoustics, with mounting positions and cable management for microphones, monitors and cue lights.

The new custom ProCast desk takes centre stage in B/R Football's podcasts, which are now filmed and featured on YouTube. AKA Design has also recently installed its 200th Avid S6 desk, adding to its range of rise-and-fall studio furniture already widely adopted in a variety of disciplines throughout the post, film, broadcast and gaming industries.
