
Huesca International Film Festival will pay tribute to Carlos Saura Saura recoger el Premios Lu s Bu uel, mientras que la joven actriz Adriana Ugarte recibir el Premio Ciudad de Huesca en la 42 edici n del festival. Un total de 78 cortos competir n en esta edici n.
El Festival Internacional de Cine de Huesca ha dado a conocer tres de los hitos m s importantes de la que ser su 42 edici n, el Premio Lu s Bu uel, el Premio Ciudad de Huesca y los cortometrajes seleccionados en sus tres concursos. El festival que se llevar a cabo entre el 16 y el 21 de junio ha revelado que los premios homenaje de este a o ser n para Carlos Saura y Adriana Ugarte. El director altoaragon s estar en su ciudad natal para recibir el Premio Lu s Bu uel, un reconocimiento que ha distinguido a grandes nombres del cine como Tavernier, Kaurismaki, Frears o los hermanos Taviani y que por fin recoger el realizador ganador de innumerables premios en festivales como Cannes, Berl n, Venecia o San Sebasti n. El festival ya distingui a Saura en 1991 con el Premio Ciudad de Huesca pero es de justicia que reciba este reconocimiento, nadie como l refleja el esp ritu del premio y levanta tanta admiraci n en el seno del festival , afirma Jes s Bosque, director del certamen.
El Premio Ciudad de Huesca ir en cambio para Adriana Ugarte, una joven actriz con una gran proyecci n y talento natural en palabras de Bosque. Un galard n que busca de este modo apostar por el futuro, un concepto ligado con la propia ciudad de Huesca y que ha sido esencial a la hora de otorgar el galard n, as como sus inicios en el mundo del cortometraje, esencia del Festival. La polifac tica actriz que ha sus 29 a os ya tiene una larga experiencia en cine (Cabeza de perro, Combusti n), teatro (La casa de Bernarda Alba) y televisi n (La se ora, El tiempo entre costuras), estar en Huesca para recoger el premio. Adriana y Carlos adem s tienen un nexo com n ya que en 2013, el realizador de obras como Ay, Carmela! o The prima Ang lica dirigi a la actriz en la obra de teatro El gran teatro del mundo.
78 cortometrajes
El festival ha dado a conocer tambi n el listado de los cortometrajes seleccionados para participar en la 42 edici n del festival, ser n un total de 78 trabajos provenientes de 26 pa ses diferentes los que luchar n por alzarse con el Premio Danzante en su categor a. Algunos directores seleccionados vuelven al mundo del cortometraje por su mayor libertad creativa como confirmaba la co-directora art stica, Azucena Garanto.
Los concursos Internacional e Iberoamericano que son preseleccionadores para los Premios Oscar y que adem s este a o se cumplen 10 a os de este reconocimiento (s lo 4 festivales de cortometrajes en Espa a lo tienen), contar n con 30 cortos cada uno. En el Iberoamericano destaca, adem s de los 13 espa oles, la fuerte presencia de la cinematograf a brasile a con 8 t tulos a competici n. El ganador de este concurso pasar autom ticamente a ser susceptible de premio en el concurso internacional que cuenta ya con una selecci n mayoritariamente europea pero con presencia de otras filmograf as como Estados Unidos o Australia. El pa s con mayor n mero de cortos es Francia pero cabe destacar la selecci n de 5 cortometrajes de Suiza.
En el concurso documental se ver n un total de 18 t tulos (esta categor a la duraci n m xima se extiende hasta 40 minutos) y hay obras de pa ses tan diversos como Siria, India o Argentina.
