BACKENTERTAINMENT ONE ANNOUNCES NEW PODCAST NETWORK SPANNING COMEDY, HEALTH, SEX, HISTORY, POLITICS AND MORENetwork includes Sickboy which is slated to record live at SXSW next year, and Our Fake History from Sebastian Major, which was featured in this year's Hot Docs Podcast Festival.
Toronto, ON - December 1, 2017 Global studio Entertainment One (eOne) expands its digital presence with the launch of its podcast network - the largest independent network in Canada, which currently features over 20 unique podcasts. The network continues eOne's goal of creating and delivering high-quality relevant entertainment that is consumed and enjoyed around the world. Entertainment One's podcast network is available on all major podcast platforms.
The network includes breakout shows: Sickboy, a comedic perspective on how to talk about coping with illness, death and ultimately living life to the fullest; Turn Me On, a podcast that features a married, poly - adventurous couple who love to talk to people about S-E-X; Our Fake History, which shares history's greatest tales and uncovers what's fact or fiction; The Reality Check, an exploration of controversial topics in culture, science and critical thinking; Professor Buzzkill, a weekly romp through some of the historical myths deeply embedded in our culture; Illusionoid, a weekly improvised comedy podcast in the style of old-time radio and last but certainly note least; What If World, a storytelling podcast for kids that encourages playful creativity and imagination.
Additional podcasts on the network include: Rewatchability, Somewhere in the Skies, Kreative Kontrol, The Wisest, Unconditional; Comedy Above the Pub, Sex and the Single Parent, Can't Lit, That's How I Remember It, Parenting Then and Now, The Basement Revue, Who's at the Cottage, Pet Sounds, Disrupting The Global Order with Janice Stein, and Cha Da Cup with KayRay. Future releases include No One Cares (Except For Me) with writer Anne T. Donahue (@annetdonahue).
