Grammy award-winning singer Beyonc is back on the music scene with a disco-themed new single! The talented businesswoman and musician officially released her new single, Break My Soul, on Tuesday 21 June and instantly shot to the top of Twitter's trending list straight after the release.

According to Variety, the mom-of-three's single first appeared on Tidal, a streaming service which is partly owned by Beyonc 's husband, Jay-Z, before popping up on other streaming services like YouTube and Spotify.

This is the first single from Beyonc 's seventh studio album, Renaissance, set to be released on 29 July.

BEYONC RELEASES BREAK MY SOUL' Following the release of her 2020 album, The Lion King: The Gift, Beyonc surprised fans with the announcement of Break My Soul on Friday 17 June. The track is upbeat, full of energy and perfect for the summertime.

The track has a songwriting credit from American songwriter Ryan Tedder, who has worked with the likes of Adele, Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5 and Katy Perry.

Break My Soul was produced by American R&B star Raphael Saadiq.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM RENAISSANCE' Sources told Variety that Beyonc 's upcoming album, Renaissance, will feature both dance and country-leaning tracks with contributions from Ryan Tedder.

Raphael Saadiq will also reportedly play a major role in Renaissance.

The album is set to be released on 29 July.
