Breakrough Entertainment Launches Drama Hard Rock Medical At MIPTV 04

TORONTO (March 10, 2014) - Breakthrough Entertainment will be bringing a brand new dramatic series, Hard Rock Medical (13 X 30), for its international debut at MIPTV 2014. A hard-hitting medical drama based on true events, Hard Rock Medical brings the med school experience alive with engaging characters and high stakes drama.

Extracting a bullet from the back of a hunter's head in a mosquito-infested tent before youve had your first cup of coffee is not the best way to start your day. However, that's just a regular morning reality for the characters in Hard Rock Medical; a medical school unlike any other in a unique, wilderness setting. To be accepted in this School the applicants fight for the coveted admission by a grueling and at times comical interview process. From this, eight very different students are hand-chosen to study medicine with the goal of becoming a Doctor, which, when you're practicing in anything from a canoe to a cave, is bound to be an adventure. The isolating environment brings the students and teachers close together and tensions arise as they try to balance their personal and professional lives. The students will need to put their hearts, minds and creativity into their medical career to make it through, all while trying to save lives.

Hard Rock Medical stars Patrick McKenna (Crash Canyon), Tamara Duarte (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Jamie Spilchuk (Stoked), along with an expansive cast of students, doctors and patients. Hard Rock Medical is currently in pre-production on its second season.

Hard Rock Medical is a co-production between Title Entertainment, Carte Blanche Films, Distinct Features, and Moody Street Productions.
