Blancco to Launch Data Erasure News' and SSD White Paper on Growing Necessity of Data Erasure at CeBIT - Mar 01 2013 Award-winning company introduces new information for corporate and government leaders on IT asset erasure best practices and processes

Joensuu, Finland, March 1, 2013 Blancco, the global leader in data erasure and computer reuse solutions, is publishing new documents to share its data erasure management expertise with business and government leaders, and will introduce them at CeBIT, the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions, March 5-9, 2013, in Hannover, Germany. The publications include the first edition of the company's newsletter, Data Erasure News, and a white paper exploring the challenges and options for effective, secure erasure of solid state disks (SSDs) increasingly used in servers and desktops.

We have been helping organizations secure their valuable data for more than 15 years, said Thomas Wirth, General Manager of Blancco Central Europe GmbH. CeBIT offers one of the greatest opportunities to share our expertise with key decision-makers about the importance of secure data erasure management. The topic is especially important today when the new EU data protection directive is forthcoming.

At CeBIT, Blancco will release its latest white paper on SSD erasure, and will also have on hand another new white paper Managing Data Erasure in the Enterprise: Automated Processes for Optimal Efficiency, a look at how automated erasure efficiently secures data without impacting corporate IT resources.

Blancco will also launch at CeBIT the first edition of its educational newsletter, Data Erasure News, a publication designed to help organizations with their data erasure management processes for all types of hardware. The newsletter will answer key questions from organizational leaders about the why's and how's of effective data erasure management in today's IT environment.

The CeBIT 2013 theme Shareconomy highlights the need for secure data erasure in a global economy where cloud computing enables sharing of knowledge and IT resources across traditional boundaries. Among the Blancco solutions showcased at the company's Booth D81 in Security Hall 12 will be Blancco Mobile, erasure technology for data centers, and Blancco Management Console diverse tools that automate data erasure.
