Cinedigm Acquires North American Rights to Meadowland with All-Star Cast Including Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Giovanni Ribisi and John Leguizamo Film Marks Directorial Debut of Celebrated Cinematographer Reed Morano (Skeleton Twins; Kill Your Darlings; Frozen River)

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Following its premiere at Tribeca Film Festival, Cinedigm (NASDAQ: CIDM) has acquired all North American distribution rights to MEADOWLAND, a beautiful, haunting depiction of the psychological toll that a tragedy takes on a New York couple. Driven by a powerful, career-high performance by Olivia Wilde (Her; Drinking Buddies; Rush), the film also features Luke Wilson (Ride; Skeleton Twins; Anchorman; The Family Stone), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Listen Up Philip; The One I Love; Get Him To The Greek), Giovanni Ribisi (Results; Selma; Public Enemies; A Million Way To Die In The West), Ty Simpkins (Jurassic World, Iron Man 3, Insidious) and John Leguizamo (Chef; Ride Along; John Wick; American Ultra). The script was written by Chris Rossi, and features a score by Adam Taylor (August: Osage County).

Meadowland marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano. Wilde, who has been a passionate supporter of the film, serves as a producer, a position shes undertaken in several of her previous projects (Drinking Buddies, Sun City Picture House, Body Team 12). The producing team is rounded out by Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios, along with Margot Hand and Matt Tauber. Jennifer Levine, Jason Cloth of CW Media Finance, Alex Garcia, Santiago Garcia Galvan, Marla Rand, Scott Paterson and Lauren Selig are the executive producers.

Meadowland will have an October theatrical release.

With critical praise flowing in for Wilde, Wilson and Morano, Meadowland is seen as a contender for awards consideration, already being named World Narrative Feature Award Nominee at Tribeca Film Festival.

The deal was negotiated by Cinedigms Kristin Harris, Executive Director of Acquisitions, with WME Global and Gersh representing the filmmakers.
