Inview showcases its solutions for Analogue Switch Off markets at Broadcast Asia 2015 MAY2015

Northwich, UK, 22nd May, 2015: Inview Technology Ltd, the broadcast and OTT software and services specialist, today announced that it will be showcasing its solutions for Analogue Switch Off (ASO) markets at Broadcast Asia 2015, 2-5 June in Singapore.

Inview's technical expertise combined with operational know how - enables broadcasters and government bodies to achieve successful ASO. Its services include interactive advertising, push video on demand, an intuitive and easy to use electronic programme guide and audience measurement services.

Inview's basic Set-Top Box (STB) solution enables operators and broadcasters to monetise the digital TV proposition by deploying revenue generating services and integrating advertising directly into the EPG and user interface (UI). Advertising can be targeted to region, user profile or TV viewing as well as promoting the best of local and international content.

Consumers can build on the basic STB solution to include enhanced services such as Push VOD, catch up TV and PVR, allowing viewers to record, pause and rewind live TV. Other value added services include public service information such as government communication via video and a range of broadcast applications e.g. news and karaoke.

Push-VOD allows operators to push content to the UI using cheaper overnight broadcast bandwidth. The content is stored on a memory stick, ready for the consumer to watch when they want and keeps the cost of the STB as low as possible.

As broadband infrastructure improves in the area and consumer demands increase, boxes can become connected via 3G or Wi-Fi dongles to offer OTT connected services such as IP VOD and social networking.

The ability to upgrade services from launch of digital TV straight through to high end hybrid services future proofs the digital switchover platform.
