Wowza Media Systems Acquires Camfoo Provider of streaming software underscores commitment to the cloud by acquiring cloud management solution

EVERGREEN, Colo. September 16, 2013 Wowza Media Systems, LLC, provider of Simply Powerful Streaming media server software, announced today that the company has acquired Camfoo GmbH, a leading solution for managing cloud-based media streaming. The acquisition amplifies Wowza's commitment to providing both small and large customers the simplicity, cost-efficiency, and scalability of the cloud.

The Camfoo team has developed, implemented, and delivered over 1,000 streaming media projects since 2006. The company's technology has powered some of the largest live media events on the Internet, from major music festivals to the British royal wedding.

Wowza products have been used by Camfoo for several years, said David Stubenvoll, co-founder and CEO of Wowza. Integrating Camfoo's automation technology with Wowza provides customers the simplest and most robust way to manage cloud streaming. Wowza officially announced the acquisition at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, where more than 50,000 media specialists from 160 countries have gathered to discuss the latest developments in the electronic media and entertainment industry.
