National Geographic to Launch New Porcelain Collection with Mottahedeh

WASHINGTON (Oct. 20, 2014)-The National Geographic Society, one of the world's largest nonprofit scientific and educational organizations, has selected New Jersey-based Mottahedeh as a fine porcelain dinner and giftware licensee under its National Geographic Home Collection brand for North America.

Under this multiyear agreement, National Geographic and Mottahedeh have teamed up to launch a line of unique porcelain tableware and gifts showcasing National Geographic's vast image archives and historical artwork. The new collections will launch to trade at the New York Tabletop Show, Oct. 21-24.

For more than a century, National Geographic Society explorers and photographers have traveled the world to capture and create stunning images and collect compelling stories, said Krista Newberry, National Geographic's senior vice president of licensing, North America.
