Minnetonka Audio releases Cinavia verification module for Audio Tools ServerMINNETONKA, MN - Minnetonka Audio Software, Inc. (MASI), a leader in production software for motion picture, broadcast surround sound and consumer electronics applications, announced today the availability of the new Cinavia verification module for AudioTools Server. The module supports verification of Cinavia watermark technology developed by Verance Corporation to protect filmed entertainment content.
AudioTools Server (ATS) is Minnetonka Audio's flagship product, designed to automate the most sophisticated audio tasks. ATS offers a variety of digital signal processing, including up/downmix, program management and transcoding plus standards compliant, multi-target loudness control and quality control for LPCM and Dolby E. ATS also includes enterprise features such as load balancing, workflow failover, and support for multiple codecs, containers and transport streams.
The Cinavia verification module for AudioTools Server performs certified Cinavia watermark verification for a variety of automated operational workflows in ATS. The module provides Cinavia verification services that detect and report the presence and/or absence of Cinavia watermark payloads in audio essence processed through AudioTools Server. The module, which can be invoked from within ATS jobs or workflows, provides a summary of all valid Cinavia payloads, plus a detailed report in XML format. The module supports sample rates from 44.1 to 192 kHz in up to 16 channels of LPCM, AC-3 and E-AC-3 essence.
John Schur, Minnetonka Audios President, explained that the addition of the new module demonstrates the increasing versatility of the ATS platform. We are pleased to announce the release of the Cinavia verification module for ATS, which extends the range of automated workflows integrating Cinavia into a new area of post-production, Schur said. Our customers requested this capability, and we've been excited to work closely with Verance to streamline workflows for studios incorporating their industry leading technology.
Automatic Cinavia verification is an important priority for Verance, and the AudioTools Server from Minnetonka is an ideal platform to accomplish this, said Dean Angelico, executive vice president, operations for Verance. The wide range of audio and container formats supported by ATS extends the availability of verification within feature film workflows.
The Cinavia verification module is available now from AudioTools Certified Partners worldwide or direct from Minnetonka Audio Software. More information about AudioTools Server and other Minnetonka Audio products is available at www.minnetonkaaudio.com.
