Argosy, a leading international supplier of HD broadcast cables and studio infrastructure products, has delivered a range of its infrastructure products to provide the backbone of the master control room at MBC Groups Al Arabiya Al Hadath new studio facility in Dubai Media City, UAE.
MBC was looking to relaunch its news channel, Al Arabiya Al Hadath. Initially launched in January 2012 as an extension to the popular and influential 24-hour Al Arabiya news service, Al Hadath focuses on live coverage of news events as they happen from across the Arab world. The channel relaunched in February 2014 from a new studio with a distinctive new look, and it was this project that capitalised on Argosys long-standing experience and best in class technology and did so all within a very tight timescale.
We have continued to work with Argosy over the years and are delighted to do so once again on this control room and news gallery project for Al Hadath. said Raed Bacho, Broadcast Manager at MBC. Our experience with Argosy has highlighted their in-depth know how and understanding of the challenges faced by broadcasters and their ability to meet these challenges head on quickly and effectively to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
We recognise that cables, connectors, and other infrastructure products are rarely going to be the main focus of a project, but broadcasters rely on Argosy to provide the highest quality, well tested solutions that ensure the integrity of a system is maintained, said Mike Purnell, director at Argosy. We deliver real value to our customers by focussing on service first through the good advice we offer to help them select the right products for their application, and second by having those products in stock locally and ready to deliver at a moments notice.
We have a base in Dubai where we keep a very large amount of stock ready to be dispatched quickly anywhere in the region, Purnell explained. MBC know this, and on a project like Al Hadath they could give us tight deadlines for delivery, confident we would hit every one.
Argosy is exhibiting at CABSAT 2014, taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 11 - 13 March 2014. A selection of its infrastructure solutions can be seen in hall 7, stand 701.
