Colorado State University football fans and players experienced game day in a new way at Sonny Lubick Field this fall with a new LED video display designed and manufactured by Daktronics. The display was installed at Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins, Colo., in August.

The installation of our new video board from Daktronics has delivered Rams fans a dramatically improved game-day experience at Hughes Stadium, said Jack Graham, Director of Athletics at Colorado State. Not only is the display area much larger for both live action and replays, it also provides the opportunity to more effectively deliver messaging about the many great things happening here at Colorado State University.
The main video display measures approximately 28 feet high by 48 feet wide and features a 15HD pixel layout. It is capable of showing one large image to highlight live video and instant replays. It can also be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements.
This display incorporates excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility while providing multiple levels of protection from the elements, keeping Rams fans in the game from any seat inside the stadium.
The installation is a great addition to Hughes Stadium, said Mark Johnson, Daktronics sales representative. This shows the commitment the athletic department has to improving the game-day experience and is another step to putting Colorado State Ram Football back on top.
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
