His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi to look into business opportunities with Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth and Russian Businesses
Russia/Moscow: November 26, 2012 - His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre highlighted Sharjah's international relations and further endeavors to deepen partnerships with Czech and Russian organisations during the 222nd anniversary of the Czech company Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth.
The Czech company Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth, who is the inventor of modern graphite pencil and one of the world leaders in the production and distribution of first-rate stationery for artists, schools and offices, prepared for the celebration of its 222nd anniversary a nationwide competition with the theme A pencil that has drawn through four centuries with one line and leaves an indelible print behind!'.
Held in Moscow, the largest distribution market of Koh-I-Noor, a large number of entries with interesting landmarks and elements of the Middle Eastern region were received. The winner of the drawing competition, a young Russian talent, will enjoy with his family a week's stay in Sharjah to visit famous landmarks and experience its culture, which is sponsored by Sharjah Media Centre, the strategic partner of Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth.
On the 222nd anniversary gala evening, held on November 24 at the Arena Moscow, 1,000 guests of the Business to Business industry attented a show, where Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth took the audience through their history with live performances and rewarded numerous winners for their drawings. Personalities as Ing. Vlastislav Briza, CEO of Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth; his sons Vlastislav Briza Junior, General Manager of Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth; David Briza; Osama Samra, Director of Sharjah Media Centre; Petr Kolar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic; and Jiri Zimola, Governor of the region of South Bohemia were among the VIP guests.
The speech of His Excellency were welcomed by the audience with excitement, where he highlighted the importance on artistic expression for the history, We have come together on this day to celebrate Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth's 222nd anniversary here in Moscow.
On this occasion, I would like to take the opportunity to express our delight over Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth for honouring us with this great experience and sharing these moments with you this evening. The anniversary has a very interesting theme and a great meaning for us, especially sharing together same values of education, arts and the written word.
Sharjah holds a long history in culture that goes beyond 6,000 years. For earlier years, the written word in the form of poetry has been and still is an important facet in our history. Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth created a tool to seal the spoken word forever.'
In addition he stressed on the responsibilities of the state and companies Our partner Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth and our emirate continually endeavor to observe developments and trends in the industry, while updating and perfecting our services and products on the basis of demand. We saw that Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth is a brand with a diamond heart.'
His Excellency promoted international partnerships with the words We're looking into strengthening Sharjah's presence on the global map to foster the exchange of expertise and cultures among nations by developing our people's ideas and thoughts, whether through the written word or through different kinds of artistic expression. We aim to maintain a vibrant and ongoing presence for the emirate and work towards improving the responsibility, professionalism, creativity and competitive advantage of Sharjah's community. Therefore, we coordinate with relevant federal agencies and organisations to exchange knowledge and expertise, in addition to partnering with international organisations to provide services and products.'
The speech ended with the written words of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, where His Excellency quoted from the book of His Highness titled Taking the Reins'. The United Arab Emirates are loyal and generous towards their friends and show equal treatment to all countries. I can only compliment the great status our international relationships reached.'
During the press conference held prior to the event on November 23, His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre expressed his delight over Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth for being the strategic partner The anniversary has a very interesting theme and a great meaning for us, especially sharing together same values of education, arts and the written word. We're here to represent our emirate Sharjah, which is the 3rd largest emirate of the United Arab Emirates.'
Furthermore he highlighted We're sure this partnership is the first, where many great ones with the Czech Republic and Russian Federation will follow. We're keen to build bridges and develop great partnerships with our industry colleagues.'
On his part Osama Samra, Director of Sharjah Media Centre welcomed media professionals and said We're pleased to be the strategic partner of a company that has a long history. Together Sharjah and Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth share same cultural values and interest in arts and education. This partnership is a beginning for a great relationship with our Czech and Russian friends.'
Next to the event, His Excellency Sheikh Al Qassimi will look with Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth's CEO and sons into investment and business opportunities. The agenda will comprise in addition possibilities on how to expand and deepen relationships with Czech, Russian, American and Italian business professionals.
