Talented actress Akhenime Mfenyane is thrilled about her debut as Anathi in Tshedza Pictures' telenovela Gqeberha: The Empire, which premiered in January 2023.

AKHENIME MFENYANE: THANK YOU FOR WATCHING' The Xhosa-speaking actress Akhenime Mfenyanye, who is known as Luzuko's lover Anathi in Gqeberha: The Empire shared the first episode on her social media and revealed they hold a special place in her heart.

Last night's episode holds a very special place in my heart. Those who know how delicate and sacred the initiation process from boyhood to manhood is, know how it affected my family once upon a time. I dedicate yesterday's episode to my parents and siblings. Thank you so much for watching the first episode of Gqeberha: The Empire.

Daily Sun reports that the episode was about Anathi's brother coming from initiation and illustrated the ups and downs of the Xhosa initiation process and how challenging the process can be for families.

GQEBERHA: THE EMPIRE': HER ROLE AS ANATHI Anathi Njoloza (played by actress Akhenime Mfenyana) is a young woman who wants to open a restaurant so she can support her grandmother and younger brother in Gqeberha: The Empire.

She's got a strong bond with her fiance Luzuko's son Thulani but has agreed to marry his father and become his fourth wife.

The father and son are both mesmerized by her beauty and while viewers want Thulani to be with her, they understand she might want to marry his father for the benefits.

Mfenyana reminds fans of Nomzamo Mbatha when she was cast as Thandeka in Isibaya. A ravishing beauty, she is a natural on camera. Fans foresee great things for the actress , reports IOL.
