Ericsson is unveiling its innovations and latest products in the sector of television during the NAB Show 2017 of Las Vegas. Until April 27, the Swedish company exhibits its unique capabilities and its portfolio of end-to-end content owners, broadcasters and service providers.
As part of its mission to transform the television, Ericsson presents its solutions in three key areas: enrichment, processing and distribution, and broadcasting. The company will demonstrate how software, services in the cloud, global platforms, the results generated by data and intuitive experiences and immersive are allowing all providers differentiate themselves and compete in the new era of television.
The company will display their latest models of distribution by IP and the cloud, with releases such as Ericsson MediaFirst Management Controller and MediaFirst Encoding Live 8.1. Its a fully virtualized processing solution that allows operators to capitalize on the consumer demand for new services in areas such as the UHD, virtual reality and augmented and new opportunities for income generation as dynamic advertising.
Ericsson MediaFirst Management
Based on 25 years of experience and your profile pioneer in video compression and in close collaboration with its customers and users, Ericsson MediaFirst Management Controller simplifies the transition to software-based architecture offering a unified access for Ericsson MediaFirst Video Processing products. The solution allows operators to dispense with a restrictive and monolithic approach to achieve an accommodation based on the more agile service, optimizing the management of the application and the development through large number of clusters and services. New management platform provides visibility, configuration and control centralized, together with flexibility in switching and management of licenses; It can also be adapted to changing dynamic environments, balancing the cost control at the same time.
MediaFirst Video Processing Encoding Live 8.1 allows a faster content deployment, as well as operationally efficient delivery, offering more experiences than ever immersive consumer. This new version provides a microservices architecture really unified across all models of platforms and includes centralized management, integrated switching and dynamic advantages of license.

Personalization of video services
Another new feature of Ericsson is your solution of dynamic ad insertion for streaming over-the-top (OTT), MediaFirst Stream Personalization, allowing broadcasters and service providers personalize and monetize multi-screen video services. This solution provides exclusive custom content for each person. It can operate in multiple formats and with any player, with the possibility of inserting ads into HLS, Smooth Streaming and MPEG-DASH.
Apart from allowing advertisements accurately from frame and replacement of content from the network, MediaFirst Stream Personalization offers extensive records of use, combined with analytical, facilitating a better understanding of audiences and a more accurate business intelligence.
The broad portfolio of Ericsson in enrichment of media expands now with the latest innovations in the services company of subtitled first level: Snap Captions, Subito Vault and Subito Conversion and Delivery Engine. These services are an integral part of the infrastructure of subtitled new generation.
