PROTON Camera Innovations Named Recipient of 2026 Technology and Engineering Emmy for FPV Drone Systems

PROTON Camera Innovations GmbH has been named a recipient of a 2026 Technology and Engineering Emmy Award for its contribution to FPV drone camera systems for live sports broadcast coverage. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences recognized PROTON alongside Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), Wave Central, and Above Media. The award will be presented October 14, 2026, at the Television Academy's Saban Media Center in North Hollywood, California.

PROTON's contribution centered on the PROTON CAM, a broadcast camera measuring 28mm and weighing 24 grams - small and light enough to fly on a 245g weight-critical high-speed drone while delivering full 12-bit HDR Full HD images.

One of the crucial criteria for the Emmy award is that the winning technology should elevate the storytelling process.' That incredible storytelling is done by our customers.
