Sunday MLB on TBS will continue August 17 with a matchup of American League contenders when the Detroit Tigers and Miguel Cabrera host the Seattle Mariners and Robinson Cano at 1 p.m. ET. Robbie Ray (1-2) is scheduled to take the mound for Detroit against Seattle's probable starter Chris Young (11-6). The Sunday MLB on TBS telecast will be seen nationally with Ernie Johnson providing play-by-play alongside analyst Ron Darling.
The upcoming Sunday MLB on TBS schedule will include the Washington Nationals hosting the San Francisco Giants on August 24 at 1:30 p.m. in a nationally televised game.
This season marks the first of Turner Sports' new eight-year multimedia rights agreement with Major League Baseball that will extend the partnership to more than 40 years. As part of the new agreement, TBS has enhanced rights for its Sunday MLB on TBS game of the week with increased co-exist rights in the local markets. The network will also exclusively televise one Wild Card Game presented by Budweiser, two of the four Division Series with the MLB Division Series coverage on TBS presented by T-Mobile and one League Championship Series during the 2014 MLB Postseason.
