MediaPro begins production for Netflix and HBO The New Pope' de Paolo Sorrentino comenzar pr ximamente su producci n para HBO y Fe de etarras' de Borja Cobeaga inicia su rodaje para Netflix.
Mediapro ha decidido reforzar su presencia en EEUU como parte de su objetivo de crecer en el negocio de contenidos audiovisuales. Dos grandes proyectos de Mediapro destinados a dos grandes plataformas internacionales de contenidos, HBO y Netflix, comienza su andadura estos d as. Se trata de la nueva serie de Paolo Sorrentino, ganador de un Oscar, y del rodaje de la pel cula del director espa ol Borja Cobeaga.
The New Pope, nueva serie del creador de la pel cula, tambi n coproducida por Mediapro, iniciar su producci n a finales del pr ximo a o en Italia. Paolo Sorrentino y Umberto Contarello est n trabajando en el guion de la que ser la segunda serie de Sorrentino, que estar ambientada en el mundo del papado contempor neo.
Esta producci n conjunta de Sky y HBO estar producida por Lorenzo Mieli y Mario Gianani por Wildside en coproducci n con Mediapro. FremantleMedia International ser la responsable de la distribuci n internacional.
Fe de etarras
Netflix contin a apostando fuerte por las producciones europeas y ha anunciado el inicio del rodaje de su segunda pel cula original espa ola, Fe de etarras. Mediapro producir la pel cula que se estrenar pr ximamente de forma simult nea en los 190 pa ses en donde Netflix opera.
La pel cula estar dirigida por Borja Cobeaga (Negociador, No controles), escrita por l mismo junto a Diego San Jos (Ocho apellidos vascos, Ocho apellidos catalanes) y protagonizada por Javier C mara, Juli n L pez, Miren Ibarguren y Gorka Otxoa, con la colaboraci n especial de Tina S inz y Ram n Barea.
La acci n transcurre en el c lido verano de 2010 en una peque a capital de provincias espa ola. Un peculiar y disfuncional comando formado por un veterano que est deseando demostrar que no es un cobarde (Javier C mara), una pareja cuyo compromiso depende de la continuidad de la banda (Miren Ibarguren y Gorka Otxoa) y un manchego que cree que entrar en el comando le har sentir como si fuera Chuck Norris (Juli n L pez) se atrincheran en un piso a la espera de recibir una llamada, que parece que nunca llega, para pasar a la acci n. Mientras tanto, la selecci n espa ola arrasa en el Mundial de Sud frica y todo el pa s lo celebra a su alrededor
