FALL TECHNICAL FORUM CALL FOR PAPERS ISSUED FOR SCTE ISBE CABLE-TEC EXPO 2018; EXPO SET FOR OCT. 22-25 FEB. 14, 2018 (Exton, PA)-The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), SCTE's global brand, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), NCTA-The Internet & Television Association, and CableLabs today announced the annual Call for Papers encompassing an expanded scope of topics for the Fall Technical Forum at SCTE ISBE Cable-Tec Expo 2018.
The Expo 2018 Program Committee is seeking proposals in 10 categories for papers that will be presented during the annual Expo, which will take place Monday through Thursday, Oct. 22-25, at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta. Additionally, the papers will be published as part of the industry's archival body of technical literature, the Fall Technical Forum Proceedings. The committee is chaired by Kevin Hart, Executive Vice President and Chief Product and Technology Officer for Cox Communications.
Proposals are due by Friday, March 30, 2018.
A joint production of SCTE ISBE, NCTA, and CableLabs, the Fall Technical Forum this year will target the following key areas:
Wireline Access Network
Wireless Access Network
Internet of Things
Digitizing the Customer Experience
Cloud & Virtualization
Operational Transformation
Business Services
Video Services
Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
Security

SCTE ISBE Cable-Tec Expo is renowned as the pre-eminent venue that combines the thought leadership, engineering innovation, and deal-making that power the technological future of broadband telecommunications. As a nexus for content and service providers, technology partners, and industry experts, Cable-Tec Expo provides rich insights into technologies, products, and services that can generate revenue, streamline operations, and increase customer satisfaction.
In addition to learned presentations and technology-centric exhibits, Cable-Tec Expo features valuable learning, peer-to-peer interaction, and networking opportunities that are designed to prepare the technology workforce for the advent of future products and services. Cable TV Pioneers will conduct its annual banquet in conjunction with Cable-Tec Expo, on Monday, Oct. 22.
