Franois de Brugada named CEO in France

Banijay Group COO Francois de Brugada has today stepped into a new operational role as CEO, Banijay Group France in which he will be responsible for all of Banijay's French operations. He will oversee the Group's three France-based production companies - Air Productions, Banijay Productions France, and H2O as well as the Canal Sat channel co-venture Non-Stop People and future Group development in France.

De Brugada joined Banijay Group at launch in 2008, alongside its founder, former Endemol France head St phane Courbit. As EVP of Content and later Group COO de Brugada has played a pivotal role in leading Banijay through the first six years of its development. He now transitions into a new role to reflect Banijay's rapid and on-going expansion in France.

Banijay Group has just been ranked the #1 producer in France, delivering more than 1500 hours of new content to broadcasters in 2014. Banijay has a particularly strong presence in entertainment and game shows with brands such as France's longest-running game show, Tout le Monde Veut Prendre sa Place; N'Oublier Pas les Paroles, the very successful French version of Don't Forget the Lyrics; and the recently revived local version of The Weakest Link, Le Maillon Faible; in Reality TV with Les Ch'tis (11th season) one of the most successful original DTT programmes ever), and in talk-shows with Touche Pas Mon Poste, a wildly popular daily panel show.
