The quick pace of development when it comes to imaging issues like HDR, WCG, UHD, Large-Format, coupled with quickly evolving product features can be tough for even the industry's best and brightest to keep up with. That is part of the reason Canon has developed a lecture series opportunity for customers and non-customers alike. The goal is to help those looking to learn to be matched up with an expert from the Canon Broadcast team for a highlight customized lecture.

Canon's Larry Thorpe is one of the company's technology experts who are available for in-depth lectures focused on a company's specific information needs.

NEP, Mobile TV Group, and Game Creek Video are three valued customers who recently took advantage of the opportunity, tapping into the expertise of Canon Senior Fellow Larry Thorpe.

Larry is a terrific industry resource with a great skill of being able to explain large areas of the broadcast world in a language that all members of our team can understand and learn from, says Jason Taubman, Game Creek Video, SVP, Technology. We were so happy to be able to have Canon work with our team and help expand our knowledge base while we're not out in the field.

Jamon Lomax, Canon USA, national sales manager, TV Broadcast and Production, encourages people to reach out to him during this challenging time when many are sidelined but are still part of the industry.

Along with Larry we have other technical reps who can cover a wide range of products and issues, he adds. And the cool thing about someone like Larry is he can tailor it to be as high of a technical level as you want, even bringing it down so that someone new in the industry can understand it and put the knowledge to use.

Rich Eilers, Canon USA, national accounts sales director, adds that one of the goals is to offer a more tactical type of training.
