SABC Education partners with SA Innovation Summit 2017 --

SABC Education has announced that they have partnered with SA Innovation Summit 2017 following last year s successful partnership. The aim is to cause an Innovation Revolution, with the spark already ignited, encourage discussions and action around the integration of innovation projects and policy to assist the innovators says Danie Swart, head of SABC Education. Summit director, Dr. Audrey Verhaeghe says we realised the value in this partnership.

SABC Education SA Innovation Summit will take place from 6 to 8 September 2017 at the Cape Town Stadium. It is set to inspire and challenge innovators to come up with solutions that have a positive social and economic impact. With exciting competitions, practical workshops, panel discussions, fantastic networking and business matching opportunities, and an impressive line-up of local and international speakers, this year s Summit is not to be missed!

Two of the key speakers to look forward to are Ran Neu-Ner, co-CEO of the Creative Council and Janneke Niessen, winner of the Ernst and Young Most Innovative Leader 2016. The Pitching Den and Inventors Garage competitions will feature again, where start-ups and inventors will exhibit their products and services to the judges.

The summit offers the opportunity to see and hear some of the most inspirational innovation speakers live in action, showcase, demonstrate, present, pitch, shop, learn, network, make deals and, ultimately, make a difference through innovation.

Innovators and corporates will participate in the Pitching Den, which will allow the innovators to pitch their ideas to a wide international audience, adds Dr Verhaeghe. Surekha Singh, Commissioning Editor managing the special project on behalf of SABC Education is passionate about content relative to innovation and that will inspire a culture of innovators and entrepreneurship in South Africa towards sustainable development. We know the current statistics around unemployment and despair it brings. We want to revive internal creativity and explore ways of how ideas will materialise.
