Louis Hern ndez, Jr., presidente y CEO de Avid y quien ha sabido dar el nuevo impulso que la compa a necesitaba, ha abierto este NAB 2014 haciendo un repaso al papel que Avid ha jugado en la historia de la industria de media y el entretenimiento. Esta plataforma de servicios comunes abierta, extensible y personalizable responde a la visi n estrat gica de Avid Everywhere sobre el futuro del sector de los medios de comunicaci n y la industria del entretenimiento. La plataforma MediaCentral sostiene la totalidad de la cadena de valor de los medios de comunicaci n, desde la creaci n hasta su consumo, conectando a creativos y medios de comunicaci n con sus audiencias de formas m s poderosas y eficientes, y que favorecen la colaboraci n y la rentabilidad.
La plataforma MediaCentral agiliza y simplifica los workflows a trav s de la integraci n ajustada de todos los productos y servicios que la utilizan como base. La plataforma confiere la mayor seguridad y protecci n, posibilitando a los clientes la creaci n y suministro de contenidos de una forma m s inteligente, r pida y f cil con las soluciones de Avid y de terceros que la elijan utilizar. Con independencia de que los clientes utilicen la Plataforma MediaCentral en una gran empresa de medios de comunicaci n, instalaciones de post producci n, instituciones educativas, estudios de grabaci n, suites de edici n o sus propios estudios caseros, podr n ampliar y personalizar f cilmente la funcionalidad de su plataforma con servicios y componentes opcionales para cubrir sus necesidades.
MediaCentral ofrece nuevos servicios de comunicaci n que posibilitar n a los clientes acceso y la interacci n con medios almacenados y/o gestionados con productos conectados a la plataforma de m ltiples maneras. Los usuarios pueden transmitir archivos de audio y video almacenados en Avid Isis o en medios de terceros desde sus propias aplicaciones contando con servicios centralizados de reproducci n.
Tambi n aportar potentes herramientas creativas, ya que sus usuarios podr n personalizar los workflows a adiendo herramientas y servicios que necesiten a la plataforma. Los recursos API y SDF est n actualmente disponibles para Pro Tools, Media Composer, Interplay Production e iNews, habilitando a nuestra comunidad de m s de 600 socios tecnol gicos a integrar sus herramientas y servicios dentro de estos productos de workflows. La plataforma se expandir para incluir m s socios tecnol gicos, suministrando as un amplio abanico de productos y servicios, todos ellos trabajando y comunic ndose entre ellos de forma completamente integrada.
Tambi n la orquestaci n es un aspecto que Avid ha cuidado en este desarrollo, con servicios que cuidar n de multitud de tareas que no solo estimular n el rendimiento y la eficiencia, si no tambi n ayudar n a los clientes a tomar decisiones sobre como organizar y expandir su plataforma bas ndose en datos.
Por ltimo, Avid se compromete a que la autenticaci n del usuario, permisos de control y dem s ajustes de la plataforma est n disponibles desde un nico sistema de gesti n centralizado, que permite de forma m s r pida y f cil controlar el acceso a la plataforma. Se puede alcanzar una experiencia de registro nico dado que los sistemas unidos a la plataforma se integran en su totalidad con este sistema de gesti n de usuario,.
Para proporcionar un acceso f cil a la plataforma, Avid ha presentado Avid MediaCentral UX (previamente Interplay Central), el interfaz de usuario front-end con la Plataforma MediaCentral, proporcionando una experiencia unificada, bien si los usuarios escogen una aplicaci n software o un navegador de internet para interactuar, o bien si trabajan desde un ordenador port til, de sobremesa, o un terminal m vil. MediaCentral UX actualmente trabaja con Interplay | Production e iNEWS - con pr ximo soporte de la expansi n de terceros, posibilitando a productores, editores, asistentes, loggers y otros miembros del equipo aportar al proceso creativo sin necesidad de estar en las instalaciones.
