Lightware Next-Generation TPX Extenders Deliver a Plug-and-Play Future for AV IT Environments

Lightware Visual Engineering is expanding its line of next-generation TPX extenders designed to address the need for increasingly flexible technology solutions in a range of AV/IT commercial applications. The high-performance devices fully embrace the benefits of Software Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE) technology for problem-solving and room management in any type of networked environment.

The next-generation TPX extenders are the first AVXT based devices from Lightware which extend signals easily in a plug-and-play way. Additionally, the devices extend signals over a single CATx cable (up to 100 meters), allow fan-less, passive cooling and include Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) management.

As an SDVoE-compliant extender, TPX devices allow forHDMI 2.0 signal management with support for the HDCP 2.3 and Dolby Vision standard to deliver HDR content, while also providing compatibility with Software Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE ) endpoints connected point-to-point.

TPX extenders offer 4k60Hz video signal distribution over a distance of 100 meters with ultra-low latency using 10GbE IT-networks. Having TPX devices integrated into existing industry-standard 10GbE environments enables customers to run and support a single infrastructure with a significantly reduced total cost of ownership.

Lightware TPX extenders feature a wide array of connectivity and control options, supporting bi-directional RS-232 and CEC. TPX devices enable remote powering for greater efficiency with fewer cables, ultra-low latency (as low as 0.01 ms latency) and compact size with more units able to fit into the same rack space.
