Kinesys Announces new Singapore Distributor posted: 29/09/2017
Automation and motion control specialists and manufacturer, Kinesys announces a new distributor in Singapore - Total Solution.
Says Kinesys MD Dave Weatherhead, There's been a surge of interest in Kinesys in Asia generally in the last two to three years, and the timing of this deal is perfect for us to capitalize on this and increase our brand exposure and market share. Total Solution is a strong company that is well-established and respected, and we're looking forward to a very positive working relationship .
The move underlines the increased trend for motion control and movement systems becoming a visual element of live shows, events and spectaculars.
Total Solution was founded by Glenn Wong in 1998 and works with a number of premium lighting, rigging and AV brands across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Glenn comments, The interest in Kinesys in particular has grown in the last 3 years and we've had inquiries from numerous customers and potential clients as more productions are using more complex movement systems to create WOW factors for their shows .
He has actually been aware of and watching Kinesys for some time, and was waiting for the right time to get involved more proactively from a sales angle.
Total Solution is far more than just a sales operation; the company prides itself in proper training, advanced product profiling and having an excellent general backup, service and support infrastructure which was instrumental in cementing the deal with Kinesys.
The company is constantly looking forward, and, like Kinesys, is future-driven in its approach to all the supported technologies. Glenn sees a big opportunity for promoting cutting-edge motion control equipment in the region.
He thinks the Kinesys technology and systems are powerful and effective, however also straightforward and logical to use with the requisite training, and feels it offers the high quality synonymous with the brand name which will be able to fuel the creativity of show designers and directors.
Total Solution and Kinesys have already been seen in action in Singapore since the agreement was signed, supporting the National Day Parade on August 9th and Total Solution has also received training from Kinesys' Director of Support and Training Martin Honeywill.
Dave Weatherhead also attended the regional ProAVL trade expo in the summer to further underline support.

Having sold large quantities of hoists over the years, Glenn believes that there is an immediate market for Kinesys' well-priced, flexible and practical range of DigiHoist controllers.
The more specialist and complex motion control products like Elevation and Apex, he reckons will be of interest to the rental, staging and production community working on the larger tours, shows and spectaculars. Also to venues and permanent installations in a number of sectors, There's a versatile range of high quality motion control products to suit many applications .
In 2016 Taiwanese rock superstars Mayday toured Asia with a large Kinesys system, playing multiple dates in Singapore and a string of high profile corporate events in the Asia Pacific region has also helped draw attention to the potential of the technology.
With Total Solution in place, Kinesys is confident that this proactive working relationship will be a long-term success resulting in plenty of new business.
