NAB 2026: Solid State Logic To Demonstrate Expanded Virtual System T Platform

Solid State Logic will demonstrate its virtualized System T platform at NAB Show 2026 (Booth C6907). Demonstrations will include the VTE1 virtual DSP engine, new DSP package, NDI and Dante connectivity, updated licensing, and previews of the TCA Flypack Tour bundle and System T V4.3 software.

VTE1 Virtual DSP Engine

The VTE1 software delivers up to 256 processing paths with support for stereo, 5.1, and immersive audio formats, and can run on public cloud, private cloud, or a COTS server. Multiple VTE1 instances can run on a single server, supporting multi-studio setups. The approach aligns with the EBU's Dynamic Media Facility concept, where a single technical suite can be switched between different uses by selecting the relevant software stack.

New DSP Package and Licensing

SSL is introducing a smaller DSP package with 140 paths alongside the existing 256-path option. The smaller package includes the same feature set as the larger engine, including an integrated Effects Rack, Automix, full processing on every path, support for 5.1 and immersive audio up to 9.1.6, and flexible DSP resource assignment. Short-term, flexible licenses are also being introduced alongside the new DSP package.

NDI and Dante Connectivity

Building on NDI support announced at NAB 2025, SSL will demonstrate direct dual-domain routing of NDI sources from the operational user interface. The system can simultaneously integrate both NDI and Dante natively. All virtual System T DSP engines can be coupled to any existing System T control surface.

TCA Flypack Tour Package

New for this year, the TCA Flypack Tour package is a compact, portable System T configuration for broadcast, touring, and live production. It features 16 faders, an integrated Fader Tile Plus, onboard I/O with headphone monitoring, a custom mount for a Tempest Control App PC and touchscreen, and ruggedized Ethercon or Opticon connections. The system splits across flight cases for portability.

System T V4.3 Software Preview

SSL will preview the upcoming V4.3 software release, which includes onboard SolidPitch automatic tuning, permanent path links, additional send buses, and an increased number of scenes - up to 500 per show file.
