Reckeen MVP-100 is an advanced video processor for universal use, that can mimic multi-camera live production using only two physical, static 4K cameras, and hence reducing the cost of field or studio video realization.

If you don't have much space , using only two 4K cameras give you similar possibilities to using eight HD cameras

MVP-100 is a 4K Region Of Interest product with a production switcher. The device can take up to two 4K sources (or 8 Full HD sources) and each of them can create 4 different streams. On each of the streams we can define certain zones and animate them by zooming in and out and panning on different regions, making static, non-moving 4K camera into an animated camera source. Movement can be programmed or operated live.

The fact that the system can be operated by 1 person and doesn't need additional cameraman considerably reduces the cost of manpower. The device is small and compact and is ideally suited as a mobile studio. It can be used for visual radio, town councils, house of worship, driving video walls, live concerts, conferences, etc. The signals don't have to be cameras, which opens new possibilities for other uses of the system that can really meet various needs. MVP-100 allows conversion of 2 x UHD (3840 2160) input signals, that are working simultaneously and in parallel, into 8 different streams (output windows) with resolution up to Full HD (see image uploads). Every window can be fully processed - positioned, animated, zoomed in or out). Motion is made by defining the start and end positions, along with their transition mode (single, loop, ping-pong). Movement can be programmed or live-operated using the joystick. The signals don't have to be cameras but for example a high-resolution computer source or other source coming in from a satellite or a DVR.

The unit is capable of taking in a broad variety of inputs: 6G-SDI, 4K HDMI, 12G-SDI, Quad SDI, covering all of the different basis of 4K video communication that you can get today. Input signals are converted into eight 3G SDI outputs, which can be additionally synchronized to a Genlock input (which is a common technique where the video output of one source is used to synchronize other picture sources together).

This concept requires a lot less manpower and hardware costs compared to traditional production systems. Very often, during live event, e.g. club live music concert, what limits you the most is not having enough room for all the operators to achieve all extra angles. This solution, when using two 4K cameras, gives you similar possibilities to using eight different cameras. Instead, if you need more angles on the real scene, you can use one 4K and 4 Full HD cameras, or 8 Full HD cameras simultaneously.
