Cookbook author and Italian cuisine enthusiast, Silvia Colloca, is ready to load you up with more simple, home cooked Italian meals, returning to screens for another season of Cook Like An Italian on Tuesday 17th May 8.00pm on SBS Food. In Season 3 of Cook Like An Italian, Silvia is dishing up the timeless Italian passion for homemade ingredients and the family food rituals that many Italian Australians still use today to eat well and educate each new generation on the sanctity of food and its connection to family.
Get ready to experience Passata and Salami making days firsthand, where all the generations gather to make a years supply of their favourite ingredients. For Aussie Italians these annual backyard family food rituals are essential, because they form a passionate nexus where culture, food, history, tradition, family and recipes all meet and are passed on to younger generations. Over the 10-episode series, Silvia will serve up plenty of signature dishes as well as a couple of contemporary takes on Italian cuisine, including zero waste, gluten free and meal prep recipes.
Silvia Colloca said: I'm so excited to be back for a third season of Cook Like An Italian and to be dishing up more traditions and recipes that are close to my heart and have been passed down to me from generation to generation. Cook Like An Italian with Silvia Colloca premieres Tuesday 17 May at 8.00pm on SBS Food. Encore episodes will run on Sundays at 6.30pm. The series will also be available after broadcast on SBS On Demand with subtitling available in both Arabic and Simplified Chinese.
