EVS at NAB anticipates the future of the media in a connected world EVS is presenting at NAB 2017 some of its proposal to improve the audiovisual narrative and Visual experiences.

Immersive Live is the definition of EVS for future viewing experiences, where consumers engage with content live, including reproductions UHD - 4K, 360 degree, enhanced and contextual in any screen. To give shape to this new experience, EVS has developed an ecosystem of Connected Live technology and Creative Live Tools.

The stand of EVS is divided into three areas of demonstration showcasing the technology that enables this new visual experience. Attendees can see demonstrations of solutions in three different production areas: mobile units, centres and studies broadcast and stadiums or arenas.

Versatile connectivity with the XT4K

The new server XT4K is built with the standard EVS industry loop recording technology and offers four channels of UHD - 4K uncompressed in a single cable 12 G-SDI or 12 channels of HD/1080 p (in ChannelMAX configurations). The server is integrated with the native I/O, recording XAVC - 4K IP technology and support 10-bit HDR, thus ensuring the investment.

Collaborative tools

At NAB, EVS is also giving unveiled a series of new tools that enable creative teams to instantly access any multimedia assets. This reduces the delay in searching and processing operations of media in a live production environment.

IPWeb demonstrates how users can access remotely, browse and select clips in content, regardless of where the user is working. Xplore offers production teams the ability to view and select the media again to deliver content without interfering with operations in the mobile unit. To enable publishers NLE, the latest version of IPLink gives publishers fast and easy access to all media managed by IPDirector.

DYVI: mix software defined

EVS shows how flexible and scalable can be a mixer based on GPU when it is enabled on an approach defined by the software, adapting to the live configuration requirements. Production with DYVI mixture can extend far beyond the previous limits of a production switcher and allow a creative execution that frees the hands of the team. This makes it ideal if it is being used in a control room of a stadium or a versatile broadcasting center.

Collaboration with Avid

EVS has presented its new IPLink for Avid Avid MediaCentral UX. This first collaboration, EVS has developed a connector for users Avid MediaCentral UX that provides quick access to active multimedia via EVS IPDirector content management system. The platform supports the workflows of live response rapid and close integration between Avid and EVS production for customers of the companies.

Benoit Quirynen, Vice President of marketing of the product in EVS, has assured that "this new Alliance meets perfectly the needs of our users. Working with Avid to allow uninterrupted media production workflows, we are enabling workflows integrated to a narrative more quickly and efficiently and, finally, to achieve a higher quality content".
