Sky expands its home service and supply team with over 700 new engineers

Sky, the UK's leading home entertainment and communications company, is expanding its workforce with over 700 engineers, key management and support staff set to join its Home Service and Supply team. Sky has reached an agreement* to bring the engineers, who install and service Sky customers' in-home equipment, to Sky from outsource partner AVC. Under the terms of the deal, these engineers will move in-house to create one integrated nationwide team.

Market-leading customer service is core to Sky's business success and the transfer of engineers in-house is part of Sky's drive to further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operation. Having one integrated team, all working from the same systems and under the same terms, will ensure Sky delivers consistently and continues its drive towards customer service excellence.

AVC has worked with Sky for the past 11 years and has played a key role in building up Sky's national service capabilities. AVC will continue to work as a business partner to Sky until the beginning of October.
