Aspera to bring world-cla SaaS and live streaming solutions to IBC 05

Aspera, an IBM company and creator of technologies that move the worlds data at maximum speed, will showcase its complete portfolio of high-speed file transfer software and automation solutions for the broadcast and media industries, including the revolutionary new SaaS platform, Aspera Files, at IBC 2015, booth #7.B27.

Built on Asperas FASP transport technology, Aspera Files allows any organization, small to large, to establish a branded web-based presence for the fast, easy and secure exchange and delivery of any size file-based media or data between end users across separate organizations, combining multiple storage platforms. Content can be stored and easily accessed in multiple cloud and on-premise storage systems, and sharing between users and trusted organizations is as easy as drag-and-drop regardless of where the content is located. The platform breaks all the enterprise barriers of conventional file sharing, allowing distance-neutral exchange of any size data over the Internet, regardless of network conditions.

Aspera will also showcase multiple breakthrough capabilities and advanced features powered by the next generation of FASP, allowing media enterprises of all sizes to meet variable data movement demands in real time with speed, control, security and ease, directly to cloud and on-premise storage.

FASPStream transport expands Asperas FASP transport technology for live and near-live data streaming. FASPs patented transport protocol achieves highly efficient bulk data transfer over IP networks, independent of distance and quality (round-trip latency and packet loss). FASPStream expands this capability to provide a fully reliable streaming protocol for in-order data delivery over Internet WANs with excellent quality and negligible start-up delay.

Aspera Orchestrator The new release of Aspera s web-based workflow automation platform, Orchestrator 2.3, has undergone major optimizations across the core system engine to improve performance within high concurrency environments, with performance boosts in some cases as high as 10x previous versions. The release also adds native installers and a number of usability improvements for large and multi-tenant environments.

New plug-ins have been added to the library of over 50 third-party applications that can be invoked within an Aspera Orchestrator workflow. New inline file validation capabilities added to Aspera server and client software verify incoming media and metadata formats against ADI and DPP standards in the most innovative broadcast, file-based VoD distribution and post-production workflows.

Aspera Direct-to-Cloud Storage transfer capability moves even the largest (4K) media formats from source directly to object storage destination with native I/O for all major cloud storage providers with support for pause, resume, and server-side encryption at rest in addition to client side and over the wire.
