Munich/ Ditzingen, October 22, 2025 - Leading technology companies Rohde & Schwarz and TRUMPF SE & Co. KG today announced a strategic partnership to develop and offer a comprehensive, domestically-produced counter-drone solution. This collaboration combines the cutting-edge counter-drone solution from Rohde & Schwarz, radar sensing, and TRUMPF's advanced laser technology, enabling powerful detection, tracking, and defense against the growing threat of unauthorized drones on diverse platforms.
Rohde & Schwarz will integrate TRUMPFs high-energy laser system into a comprehensive drone defense ecosystem, providing the ability to effectively detect, track, and neutralize unauthorized drones.

Rohde & Schwarz provides a system-of-systems approach that offers customers the ability to detect-identify-locate-track-verify-counter-jam malicious and non-cooperative threats in line with their unique, end user requirements. The cutting-edge and operationally proven CUAS solution is designed to intercept drone radiocommunication links; reliably detect and locate drones and their pilots; determine drone direction, enabling rapid response; and includes a multiband jamming functionality.
It now incorporates a laser effector from TRUMPF capable of neutralizing drone threats. Compared to other effectors, laser-based counter-drone systems offer a sustainable and superior solution.
