WeVideo Introduces Animation, Voiceover in Storyboard, Improves Dashboard

Fall is here and so are the new features we are releasing. Most of you have been working with Ken Burns Effect and now, we're excited to announce its upgrade to Animation. Another highly requested feature is Voiceover in Storyboard. You got it. Now you can easily add voiceover to create powerful stories without switching to Timeline. Want to choose a custom thumbnail from your video? Change it when you publish or even after that from your video page. Dashboard got an overhaul to make it easy for you to take quick actions from one place. Let's go over the full list of new features.

Animation

Fast or slow, subtle or abrupt, animation in videos adds an extra layer of depth to your story. Now you can easily add movement to those static photos, or better yet, your titles and text. The best part you don't have to learn anything new; we transitioned Ken Burns into the new Animation tab and added convenient fading controls.

Voiceover in Storyboard

Our latest addition to the Storyboard feature set is the ability to record voiceover. You also have the ability to adjust the music and voiceover volume levels to make sure it all sounds right.

Quick FX

You'll notice the fx icon now on the clips. We made it easier to apply multiple effects to your clip. No more digging into the Edit menu just click it, select the effects you want and done.

Dashboard

The new improvements we made on the dashboard come in really handy for the owners of business or multi-user accounts. Quickly set up your Info Card or CTA from here and get access to most common actions in the Hub.

Other Improvements: Custom Thumbnails Easily choose your video thumbnail by just dragging a slider at publish or on your video page.

Improved Audio Recording We optimized the recording of audio and now saving it is faster than ever.

Better access to Project/Folder actions Look for the dropdown caret icon on selected projects/folders it will offer you all available actions.

More languages The editor now is translated in Vietnamese, Greek, Romanian and Indonesian languages to bring it to total of 22 languages!

Updated WeVideo Academy Our Academy now has a home on our website. Find all the videos you already love on this new page.

New Lead role Multi-user accounts now have the option to assign Lead role to users. It's ideal for supervisors who manage a group of users without the responsibility of the Administrator role.

Default and Custom Call-To-Actions for videos Accounts that have Call-To-Action available will now have the option to set a default CTA and/or custom ones per video.

Updates to WeVideo iOS and Android apps
