Ventuz and stereolize win Gold at Event Technology Awards

Multiwall project for Microsoft at CeBIT 2012 impresses the ETA Jury.

We are proud to announce that together with the agency stereolize we were name Gold Winner in the category Best Use of Video/AV/Media at the Event Technology Awards on November 13th. The project we had handed in was the impressive interactive presentation that stereolize created for Microsoft at CeBIT 2012 - using our software suite.

For Microsoft, CeBIT is the perfect opportunity to present new products to the market. In the so called Cinema, a designated presentation area on their exhibition stand, product specialists hold individual presentations and introduce what is new about their products. In 2012 the main objective of Microsoft was to launch their latest operating system Windows 8, which introduces a novel workflow to the IT world. Microsoft called it: the Consumerization of IT.

Following this motto, stereolize used Ventuz to create the world's largest interactive white board, an enormous media surface that allowed the speakers to navigate through their presentations with just a flick of the wrist. Interactivity was provided by radarTOUCH technology. With a total size of 46 by 13 feet, the LED screen drew a lot of attention. stereolize called it: The Multiwall.

The presentation content consisted of three individual layers. The main layer was the Ventuz presentation with all assets and information animated in 3D real-time. On a second layer, live video input could be embedded into the content on screen. The last layer was reserved for live drawing. An artist was seated on stage with a tablet PC through which he could add live illustrations onto the wall to emphasize certain aspects of the presentation.

Of the visitors to the Microsoft booth who were asked about the Multiwall, 90% stated that they thought the setup with interaction, live video input and live illustrations helped them understand the topics and increased the value of the presentations. The installation was also featured in one of Germany's most famous edutainment programs, Galileo, which has an average market share of 15%.
