ITV's award-winning daytime show This Morning is set to get the nation moving and healthier in a series of fitness and wellbeing items planned throughout Spring with fitness fanatic Davina McCall taking charge of the show offering viewers advice on how to stay focused ahead of Summer.

To help viewers stay motivated and persist with new fitness lifestyle changes, Davina McCall will step in on Monday 27th April to take over as GUEST EDITOR! Davina will offer tips on the most effective exercises, stretches, and tasty low calorie recipes to help viewers achieve the Summer look and feel they want.

Davina said, I absolutely love This Morning and to be able to spend an entire morning with Phillip and Amanda is going to be such a laugh. I hope to be able to bring lots of hints and tips on how to lead a happy, healthy life - brace yourself This Morning!

Already this month, This Morning's Run For Your Life campaign launched with running expert Nell McAndrew and trainer Julie Creffield to encourage all viewers that EVERYONE can get involved in the sport as they get three non-runners prepared for completing a 5k run in just five weeks! This challenge will reach its climax at the run date in mid May.

During May, This Morning's Right Diet For You challenge will also help those wishing to lose weight and wanting to achieve a leaner beach body. From Monday 11th, viewers will get to see a different couple that have been testing a different diet including Weight Watchers, The 5:2, Body Chef as well as being taught how to think yourself thin' with schema conditioning psychotherapists Nik and Eva Speakman before Dr Dawn Harper will join all eight dieters in studio for a live weigh in to see which diet comes out on top.

This Morning's editor Pete Ogden said, We have fully embraced the launch of Spring here at This Morning and viewers will be provided with invaluable inspiration, tools and advice across the next few months to achieve a more positive, new and healthy outlook ahead of summer.

Before adding, We are thrilled to have Davina here during this time too and I'm sure she will make a great guest editor - although not too great I hope!
