Ventuz Technology, developer of resolution-independent, real-time graphics software and Blackmagic Design, manufacturer of creative video technology join forces to provide an affordable, off-the-shelf solution that can be used today for 4K Ultra HD broadcasts.
The solution on display at NAB streams uncompressed 4K video from a HyperDeck Pro 4K SSD recorder or a 4K camera to the Ventuz real-time render engine via a DeckLink 4K Extreme capture and playout card. Ventuz layers channel branding graphics into the live video stream and immediately outputs it through the DeckLink 4K Extreme to a 4K display.
Together with the Blackmagic hardware we can offer a 4k graphics solution that studios can deploy today , said Erik Beaumont, COO of Ventuz. The throughput of Blackmagic's hardware combined with the real-time capabilities of the Ventuz render engine simplifies working in 4K and offers a streamlined, cost-effective way to get ahead of the curve
The workflow solution will be on display at NAB 2014, April 7-10, in the Ventuz Technology AG stand, Lower South Hall, booth #SL11127. A similar installation using the combination of Ventuz and Blackmagic will also be shown in the AMD FirePro booth #SL10405. Additionally, Ventuz will show in-studio video wall and staging solutions for game shows, newsrooms and Reality TV.
