Industry awards recognise EVS live production infrastructure at FA Cup Final --

At the ceremony of the second TVBAwards in central London, EVS was awarded the live sports production award for its involvement in the 2015 FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium in May. These included the C-Cast multimedia content platform and a number of XT3 live production servers. This is the second year EVS has been honoured by the TVBAwards after last year winning the Achievement in Multi- Platform Content award for its C-Cast connected content technology at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

At the 2015 FA Cup Final in May, EVS enriched content for football fans at Wembley stadium. EVS FanCast solution (comprising of an XT3 live production server, IPDirector content management suite and the cloud-based multimedia distribution platform, C-Cast) used Wembley s 4G connection to deliver replays, highlights and live camera feeds to mobile devices placed inside the stadium.

At the final, EVS XT3s were also featured in the two workflows delivering host broadcast services and in-stadium playback. A number of live production servers were installed in Arena TV s OB facilities to ingest and output the broadcast signals of 30 cameras five of which were slow motion units. XT3s were also utilised inside the stadium to ingest feeds from the host signal, quickly turn around replays and output them for play back on Wembley s 13 by 8 metre big screen.

Sebastien Verlaine, marketing manager, EMEA and Justin Moat, UK account manager from EVS attended the ceremony to collect the award on behalf of the whole EVS team.

More and more, producers and broadcasters are recognising the importance of having the C-Cast platform in today s live production chain, said Verlaine.
