
Gulli cultivates its affinity with 4- to 10-year-olds (M diamat October 2013)
Gullis affinity with its audience has been growing over the months. With an index of 453 (an 8% increase over October 2012), Gulli once again ranks as the channel with the most affinity with 4- to 10-year-olds.
Gullis daytime audience share in this target group was 16.6% in October.
Appealing new programming
Early afternoon movies (Cin Gulli) were a big hit during the holidays.
Special programming (including feature-length films, made-for-TV movies, special episodes, etc.) broadcast daily during the autumn school holiday (Mondays through Fridays at 1:50 pm) helped Gulli rank as the No. 1 French channel among 4- to 10-year-olds, the No. 1 DTT channel among mothers, and the No. 2 DTT channel for the 4-and-up demographic**.
The special programming drew an average of 356,000 viewers in the 4-and-up age group with 3.5% overall audience share, 4.2% audience share among homemakers with children and 23.5% audience share among 4- to 10-year-olds.
The Gulli Doo show at lunchtime (11:20 am-1:30 pm) on school days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) was also a big hit with 20.3% audience share on average over the first three weeks of October when Gulli doubled its audience share compared to the same time segment in September.
2.7 million children watched Gulli Good in October*** (half of all 4- to 10-year-olds with TV access).
In the 4-and-up age group****, Gulli was one of the rare channels to maintain its audience share year over year at a time when competition was on the increase.
Moreover, Gulli was up 6% over last month with 1.9% audience share (vs. 1.8% in September).
