8 special rewards for the manifestation of Good Fortune
Astro kicks off the 2020 Chinese New Year (CNY) campaign themed Say cheese, Fortune is Yours offering 8 exciting rewards to Malaysians through exclusive promotions to bring good fortune in the Year of the Rat.
As part of the 2020 CNY campaign, Astro is excited to introduce Hao Yun Shu ( ), a mouse that brings good fortune, as this year's iconic Astro Chinese New Year mascot. A series of Hao Yun Shu' merchandise including an exclusive thumb-drive, T-shirt, comic and more will also be launched. Additionally, Malaysians can also look forward to the Chinese New Year Album 2020 performed by Astro talents and announcers from three Chinese radio stations, scheduled for launch by 16 December.
From the recent launch of the 4K Ultra Box and the strategic partnership with China streaming app, iQIYI, with special offers for Astro customers, Astro continues to reward customers with higher quality entertainment experience this upcoming CNY with the following 8 special rewards:
The A Game
Astro is excited to introduce The A Game, a brand-new gameshow offering participants a chance to take home cash prizes of up to RM150,000 each episode. All Astro customers can also enjoy participating in The A Game digital during CNY and stand a chance to win attractive prizes. The A Game will premiere on 26 January 2020 on Astro AEC (HD CH 306 and CH301).
Astro CNY Flash Sales
All Astro customers can enjoy the Astro CNY Flash Sales from 25 January until 8 February courtesy of Astro Rewards, to shop for a wide range of exciting items all at incredibly low prices.
CNY Album and Go Shop E-Voucher
With every purchase of the latest CNY Album, Malaysians can get exciting Go Shop e-voucher for a CHEESY8 deal with no spend limit. On top of that, 500 lucky customers will receive additional Go Shop e-vouchers of RM18, RM28 and RM88 with no spend limit.
Exclusive CNY Thumb-drive
Malaysians can creatively customize their Astro CNY T-shirt with 6 Hao Yun Shu designs by using UNIQLO Fahrenheit88 UTme! service from 26 December 2019 and 22 January 2020. The first 888 Astro customers who customize their T-shirts will receive an exclusive CNY Thumb-drive. T&C apply.
Go Shop Happy Cheesy Chinese New Year campaign
Go Shop will be celebrating this festive season with its Happy Cheesy Chinese New Year campaign by giving out RM388,000,000 worth of Go Shop vouchers to eligible customers from 1 December 2019 till 31 January 2020. During the campaign period, top-tier spenders will also receive a RM88 Ang Pao' promo code. New HD (High Definition) Channels
Four new Chinese HD channels will be available to Astro customers including: Phoenix Chinese Channel (HD CH 318), TVB Xing He (HD CH 319), TVBS Asia (HD CH 320) and CCTV 4(HD CH 335) from 12 December.
Lucky 338 Channel
This CNY, Astro customers can enjoy Chinese New Year special programmes including movies, entertainment shows, concerts, dramas and many others. Additionally, all Astro customers can enjoy Lucky 338 channel, from 24 January to 8 February, offering more than 60 exciting movies from the 80's and 90's. Furthermore, movie lovers can also enjoy an additional wide range of more than 150 movies on Astro GO and on demand.
Bai Nian and On Ground Activation
All Malaysians can participate in and enjoy the Astro Chinese New Year on-ground event with Astro talents and TVB artistes throughout Peninsular Malaysia from 11 January. They will also join in the CNY home visits for lucky, selected Astro users. Stay tuned to Astro's official website and social media for more information.
Malaysians can also participate in and enjoy Astro's signature Chinese New Year Countdown Gala on 4 January 2020 at Bandar Rimbayu @ IJM Land to usher in the Year of the Rat, with glittering performances from Astro talents and local performance groups.
