Sony appoints Adam Fry as VP of Professional Solutions Europe business posted: 11/04/2016

Sony has announced the appointment of Adam Fry as vice-president of its Professional Solutions Europe (PSE) business. Fry takes on the leadership position after a rich 25 years at Sony and will be responsible for driving continued growth across Sony's European B2B business, both in established markets and new segments including cinema, video security and sports.

Fry joined Sony in 1990 and was appointed deputy vice-president of Sony Professional Solutions in 2013 ,having held a number of European director level roles including head of north and central European country operations, director European channel and director strategic customers EMEA. He takes over from Katsunori Yamanouchi, who has been promoted to deputy president of Professional Solutions Americas within the Sony group after four years leading the PSE business.

As chairman of both the boards of Hawkeye Innovations and Memnon, and a former Sony UK Technology Centre board member, Fry has a broad depth of experience and has been instrumental in supporting Sony's professional expansion in Europe and the company's enhanced focus on its solutions offering.

Fry commented: I know the passion and dedication of our European team to understanding our customers and responding with innovative technology and services that blend customised solutions with out of the box products. I strongly believe we can look forward to accelerating growth in our European B2B business, both in our core established markets and also new segments including Automotive, Education, Theatre and Sports. We will continue shaping the landscapes by being a Technology Innovator as we've always been but we're not stopping there of course: We will increase our focus on creating differentiated add-value for our customers by acting a true Business Partner and continue to grow our offering to be recognised as trusted Solution Provider.

On the appointment, Adam's predecessor, Katsunori Yamanouchi, said: Adam brings a huge wealth of experience to the role and will play an integral part in driving continued expansion for Sony's professional business in Europe. In my 4 years with PSE, we've seen numerous waves of technology advances such as 4K and IP, and we've increasingly been responding to our professional customers with an enhanced solutions approach combined with powerful technologies to answer their evolving needs. I'm looking forward to a new global challenge and am confident handing over to Adam Fry to steer the European business forward.
