Adorama has engaged in a three-game partnership with the New York Jets to host the Jets Virtual Reality Lounge. The virtual fun kicked off just outside the gates of MetLife Stadium on Nov. 27, when the Jets played the New England Patriots. Fans attending upcoming Jets home games against the Indianapolis Colts (December 5th) and Miami Dolphins (December 17th) can visit the Jets Virtual Reality Lounge to experience game time on the football field, using Samsung Gear and Zeiss Virtual Reality headsets, with various scenes ready to play out, from being in the huddle to observing practice as a coach.
The Jets Virtual Reality Lounge will also feature some of Adorama's most popular and giftable items that are on everyone's wish list this holiday season, including wearable technology from Fitbit, VR headsets from Samsung Gear and Zeiss, headphones from Bose, laptops from Vaio, TVs from brands including LG and Sony, and more.
Jets Season Ticket Holders can earn 250 Jets Rewards points by visiting the Adorama store at 42 West 18th Street in New York City and scanning their Jets Rewards card(s), now through December 25, 2016.
Adorama Honored by The Imaging Alliance with 2017 Visionary Retailer Award
In other Adorama news, the company has been named one of three recipients of the 2017 Visionary Retailer Awards by The Imaging Alliance, a non-profit organization that promotes the growth and sustainable development of both current and future imaging applications. Alongside Glazer's Camera and Best Buy, Adorama will be honored for its achievements in imaging retail at The Imaging Alliance's Celebrate Imaging event on the eve of CES 2017 on Jan. 4 in Las Vegas.
Among our first awards representing The Imaging Alliance, we wanted to turn our attention to honoring retailers that have created innovative strategies to connect with consumers, says Jerry Grossman, executive director of Imaging Alliance, said in the organization's official press release. Our board of directors agreed to look at three classes of retail - photo specialty, Internet and national retail, and find leaders in each discipline that fit our criteria of pushing the envelope in retail practices.
