Muvhango' has failed to pay actors since September - ReportActors from SABC2's soapie, Muvhango' reveal they are not getting answers on when they will receive their salaries.

Muvhango's cast and crew members are reportedly not aware of when they are coming back from their break or when they will get paid their salaries.

SABC2 SOAPIE ACTORS UNPAID' Zimoja reports that Muvhango actors and crew are frustrated as they have reportedly not been paid since September before production break.

A source from production reveals to the publication that actors and crew are about to lose their homes and cars due to non-payments.

We have been on a production break since September and have still not been paid our salaries from before we went on a break. We are not getting any answers, which shows that we work like slaves at the hands of someone respected in the showbiz industry.

The source added they live in fear of losing their cars and homes since banks consider them bad payers and they may not get their December salaries too.

An actor who preferred to stay anonymous also revealed they might have a bleak Christmas because of non-payments.

Muvhango spokesperson Ndumi Mdletshe refused to comment on the matter when she was contacted by the publication.

MUVHANGO': LEADING ACTOR EXITS, RETURNS' The SABC2 longest running soapie Muvhango made headlines in May this year when leading actor Gabriel Temudzani, who bid farewell to soapie on Monday, 8 May as Chief Azwinidini returned to the SABC2 soapie.

This was after the actor confirmed his exit to TshisaLIVE and said he's ready to apply himself in other spaces.

It's an emotional roller coaster. Muvhango has been my home for a long time and unfortunately, we are here. Parting ways has never been kind, but it is one of those [things] I guess. For now I'm going take time to press the reset button and move accordingly.

Temudzani also revealed that there are several things lined up after his exit such as travelling, making more time for his children, and continuing to watch Muvhango from a distance without him in it and watching how things unfold.

The South African reached out to Word of Mouth who were not available for a comment at the time of publishing this article.
