Newtek began marketing talkshow Based on the technology of Skype XT, Newtek Talkshow offers studio-quality video calls with full control of the process before, during and after the program.
After its presentation at IBC 2014 NewTek just start marketing talkshow VS-100, production system designed specifically for video calling television studios and producers of video.
The talkshow system is the new studio-quality solution that enables broadcasters and video producers can invite any of the 300 million Skype users online each month from almost any device, to easily participate as guests in live programs .

Andrew Cross, president and CTO of Newtek, stressed that "Talkshow TX and Skype allow producers to essentially change the way that programs to take audience participation to a whole new dimension are made".
The economic solution integrated hardware and software system 1RU now available and provides two channels of input and output HD-SDI (1 input and 1 output), Ethernet connectivity dual channel SDI embedded audio and audio support Professional XLR.
Talkshow is the only production system that allows issuers to manage all aspects of a video call on Skype live in the control room as any other video source, either before, during or after the call.
It also incorporates video quality controls and the possibility of redemption of the connection and static when unforeseen constraints occur in bandwidth below the default settings defined by the operator.
The system provides a video output directly to any mixer output and input from the router or any production resource to resend an image back to the caller by IP.
Unlike other solutions, talkshow is the only production system that incorporates video calls TriCaster integration and direct network by AirSend NewTek technology. The latter allows a talkshow unit provide a video call to TriCaster and receive a return signal from TriCaster using Ethernet connections instead of SDI hardware. Also, TriCaster send a notification talkshow Tally to indicate when a Skype call is performed live.
Furthermore, the embedded SDI audio input and output reduces cabling requirements and offers greater flexibility to integrate established workflows.
Improved sound return
Operators can have more than one audio source, such as mix minus, which are available for use as the return audio to the caller.
With a Dante audio support fully integrated, talkshow interacts with other audio devices using the protocol Audinate Dante network.
Color Correction
Outside the controlled environment of the study when the lighting conditions or color are far from desirable, Talkshow can easily compensate.
Supervision preview
The promise of Skype calls with full motion should be offset by full-motion previews, so that operators can know exactly how the call is developed.
Tally Support
Talkshow is the only solution that supports Skype TX visual overlay Tally to target callers and tell them when they are live.

Talkshow operators can see a preview in full color with integrated video display on the front panel which allows instant recognition of the caller and is currently connected to that system.
Professional audio tools
Audio signals input and output can be configured as a whole, have gain control, compressor / limiter and equalizer 7-band inputs and outputs that improve the sound quality, adjust the levels of consistency and avoid clipping
Recording and reuse
Talkshow allows recording a full bandwidth of any call on an external USB 3.0 or SAN storage with just the click of a button, so you can pick up the call during production and the use in a subsequent issue or in a completely new program. The calls are saved as QuickTime files that are compatible with leading nonlinear editors and other NewTek systems for archiving, post production and reproduction.
