Changes in Monthly Subscription Fee Payments Lower Bills in January Ljubljana, 18 December On 1 January 2013 Telekom Slovenije changed the way it calculates monthly subscription fees for traditional and mobile telephony. Monthly subscription fees for mobile and fixed services will now be charged retrospectively, just like for monthly subscription fees and service charges at SiOL. Therefore your January subscription fees for Mobitel and Telekom Slovenije services are not included on your December bills (payable in January). Your December bills were significantly lower as a result.

Customers will benefit the most from this new billing system. Not only will bills be paid the following month, they will also be lower, while becoming more transparent, understandable, and unambiguous. The new billing system will bring subscribers and other users even more immediate positive effects, as Telekom Slovenije also expects quicker reaction time and higher quality performance of its service units, which will improve customer satisfaction.

There are several more reasons for changing the billing method. As previous experience shows, many subscribers were disappointed or even angry when they received their first invoice after switching their plan, as the new invoice was higher than expected because the subscription fee was charged upfront. This will no longer be the case, and it will also make it easier to advise users on the most appropriate plan for them. Telekom Slovenije also expects that there will be significantly fewer complaints about invoices, as many of the received complaints have been about the billing system we have been using until now. Solving other legitimate complaints will therefore be faster and simpler, and keeping track of bills will also be easier. The change will have the same positive effect on the customer care center, which, as a result of fewer complaints, will be able to answer customers' calls more quickly, while providing them better quality support.

Certain work processes at Telekom Slovenije will be extremely simplified as a result of the change, taking weight off the shoulders of the employees working in sectors dealing with billing, sales, claims, and customer care. Even though our cash flow will be a bit lower than usual in January as a result of this change, we here at Telekom Slovenije are convinced that the reductions in the coming months will be outweighed by all the positive effects of the changes, including in terms of savings. Otherwise there are no plans to change the prices of subscription fees.
