X-Rite Pantone launches World of Plastics as Free and Powerful Resource for Plastics IndustryWebsite offers free consulting services, internet courses on best practices on color management, and exclusive product promotions for plastics applications
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan -- August 29, 2013 -- X-Rite Incorporated with its wholly owned subsidiary Pantone LLC has launched a website called World of Plastics at www.xrite.com/worldofplastics to provide a number of free and valuable resources to the plastics industry.
The resources include customer-specific consulting for color measurement and efficiency along the plastics manufacturing workflow, internet courses covering everything from design and color trends to formulation and online measurement, and exclusive promotions until February 2014 so clients have time to make purchasing decisions.

World of Plastics launches next week with an exclusive Pantone webinar on design and color trends in the plastics industry, and follows up with further free eTraining programs on color quality, consistency, formulation and online measurement. X-Rite Pantone color experts will also help organize and support associations and partners that want to run their own webinars on best practices in color. The website also offers a certificate in color theory through a separate Understanding the Numbers of Color eTraining program.
Each X-Rite Pantone expert involved in World of Plastics also has dedicated more than 80 hours of consulting time to helping customers in the plastics industry with color measurement questions and ways to improve color measurement workflow.
The company also is offering a number of exclusive product promotions based on price discounts until February 2014 -- similar to those found at trade fairs -- to extend the trade show experience additionally to those who had neither the time or money to visit. For instance, X-Rite Pantone intends to launch a new handheld solution for plastics companies to registrants of World of Plastics.
